Renewing our temp visa/CURP cards
We just realized that our temporary visas/CURP cards are expiring at the beginning of August (we thought we had more time since we finished the process in September of last year).
Do we just need to return to SMdA with our CURP cards and $ to renew them? Do you know how this all works? Any and all advice is much appreciated. Thank you. |

RE: Renewing our temp visa/CURP cards
If you have residente temporal visas, yes, you need to renew them before the expiration date. It usually works out to go to SMA (or León) about 15 days before they expire. And yes, the renewals cost money: around 3,000 pesos the last time I looked.

RE: Renewing our temp visa/CURP cards
You don't renew a CURP .... it's yours for life
If finishing up your first year of Temporal .... you can renew for 1, 2 or 3 years. Save a little with more years |

RE: Renewing our temp visa/CURP cards
hey .... just passing along information
CURP is comprised of your name, birth date and a few other permanent things. If you think it will change year to year then spin your wheels. Check your CURP here http://consultas.curp.gob.mx/CurpSP/ It does not change Quote:The Clave Única de Registro de Población (translated into English as Unique Population Registry Code or else as Personal ID Code Number) (abbreviated CURP) is a unique identity code for both citizens and residents of Mexico. Each CURP code is a unique alphanumeric 18-character string intended to prevent duplicate entries. Which means it does not have to be renewed
