Temporary Residency Visa and new minimum wage.
"Gerardo Esquivel, proposed for the Undersecretary of Expenditures for the government of Andrés Manuel López Obrador says there is a possibility that the minimum wage could increase to 101 peso per day as of January 1, 2019."
https://www.riviera-maya-news.com/minimu.../2018.html Currently and to the best of my knowledge, the official 2018 financial requirement for Temporary Residency is based on $88 pesos daily minimum wage by the following formula: 300 x $88 = $2,644 At an exchange rate about $20 pesos to the dollar the current minimum for TR is $1320 dollars monthly ($88 may have been changed to $88.34 but i haven't found an "official" notice.) If the minimum wage increases to $101 then the 2019 minimum monthly for TR visa could be increased to $1515 dollars. |

RE: Temporary Residency Visa and new minimum wage.
Great you shared this and calculated the potential impact. Might cause some to move forward, faster.
INM offices will close Wednesday for holidays, but reopen January 7 |
