Mega Julio promotion

Does anyone understand the concept? All over the store are banners with a goofy bald guy saying Todos quiern ser julio regalado and there are lots of 3x2 specials but los vigentes all seem to be 24 or 28 June

It is a marketing concept pure and simple, like Ronald McDonald. Julio Regalado is a "fun personality" that some genius (ha ha) at some ad agency came up with to promote Commercial Mexicana. The concept is "everyone wants to be Julio Regalado" so I suppose the rest of the concept is that to be like him you buy a bunch of cheap shampoo 3 for 1? Which I suppose with his head of hair, makes sense, for me not so much. So, it really has nothing to do with anything specific to the "month" of Julio.
