Hot ticket at the Mega

I went to the Mega the other day and took one of those new plastic card parking tickets. I left it on my dash board and when I came back after about 20 minutes in the store it had warped somewhat. It didn't melt it just warped. When I got to the booth I handed the ticket and my Mega receipt to the attendant. He handed the receipt back and told me I needed to pay 100 pesos for a damaged ticket. No way so the standoff began. He placed a cone behind my car to stop other cars lining up in that lane. I told him the value of the ticket was no more than a couple of pesos and that I wouldn?t pay any more than that. He got on his walkie-talkie with someone while I turned off the car and calmly finished my ice cream bar. After more walkie-talkie he asked for my ID. No way again - I wasn't going to put something valuable in his hands that I'd have to 'buy' back. Finally he settled for my name and address and took my plate number then raised the gate and let me drive off. I've made several successful trips back to the Mega and parked with no repercussions.

Been there and got the t shirt more than once.

I usually loose the stub especially if Im at the downtown mega store. What I do is just hand them my receipt and tell them here is my proof that I consumed and they let me go.

This new card concept I guess is better, since you can leave the card in the car similar to parking lots. But parking should be free even if you just go and eat there.
