Local Group Applied for Library Grant

Since 2006, we have planned to build a library in rural Mexico. In June 2011, thanks to patrons from GTO, we were able to attend the American Library Association (ALA) meeting in New Orleans. We now have ALA volunteers willing to train us how to train our neighbors on the design and managing of a library.

Fundraisers have resulted in $1,888 in cash, plus books, computers, and much more. Sunday, July 10, 2011, we turned in a grant to a patron group in SMA. The link to our grant is below.
