What is my actual FM3#
Hi folks,
I have been getting some contradictory input on this from friends and acquaintances. Time to renew my FM3 and I am typing up my letter, my formal request, and I have always put my FM3 number and my Passport number into the letter. I am up to my fourth renewal, and in the past is was easy to identify my number, but with these new cards I am a bit baffled. On the front of the card with the photo is NUE followed by a 7 zeros and a five digit number. On the other side is a N. N100...that is, more numbers with a comma stuck in for the last 3. Anyone know what number I might call my FM3#? Appreciate it! Frank |

RE: What is my actual FM3#
Frank I think the FM-3 number will be the one on the back of the card which on my FM-2 looks like NO.IN3,109
The NUE stands for Numero Unico de Extranjero On my old FM3 there was a RNE number. RNE stands for Registro Nacional de Extranjeros. In your letter why not put the NO. # then in brackets the NUE # If you have a CURP and I think everyone with FM's now does it will be listed on the front of the card. You can check your CURP Tipo y Datos Probatorio here and see what the Registro Civil is using. It will probably be the RNE number. This will need to be updated to the NUE if you are doing any other government business e.g with the S.A.T. who refused to give me a Bar Code for my new facturas until I changed the RNE to a NUE. You should be able to make the change in the Registro Civil in Jardin Cantador [state office] or in Juan Valle [city office] |

RE: What is my actual FM3#
Thanks, so much Mr. Bill. I think your advice to include both numbers a good one. What, may I ask, is S.A.T.? I am a teacher in the US, but SAT means something altogether different there, eh?
I don't have any business here, but I have stalled for a long time about getting my Imapan (may not be spelled right) and am thinking about buying the gov health insurance. And I am going to punch my CURP into that site to see what's what. Thanks, Frank (06-11-2011, 11:10 AM)Mr Bill Wrote: Frank I think the FM-3 number will be the one on the back of the card which on my FM-2 looks like NO.IN3,109 |
