2 questions
2nd day of no internet service in San Javier. Prodigy said yesterday that all would be sunny within 24 hours. Other areas of GTO in the same stew?
Do you know of a website in San Miguel de Allende that provides the same citizen service as this one, gtolist? |

RE: 2 questions
TELMEX/INFINITUM is the same all over the country. I spent two hours trying to just report it. No Internet until after 4:00 p.m. but worst yet, no credit card sales. That was a real loss. All they could tell folks (if you could get thru) was: "We are working on it" and "That is all we can tell you at the moment." WHERE IS CARLOS SLIM when you really need him???
Try writing to: ATENCION SAN MIGUEL(clasificados@atencionsanmiguel.org) I will send you my friend?s e-mail address privately... M |

RE: 2 questions
Doyle,
There are several San Miguel web forums similar in concept to gtolist. By far the largest, with supposedly more than 5,000 members, is a Yahoo group called Civil_SMA. If that link doesn't work for you, you may need to sign up first at groups.yahoo.com and search for the group. Regarding your Prodigy service, everything has been fine on this side of town. Good luck. Don |

RE: 2 questions
I have viewed both Civil List and Carol Schmidt's SMA Forum, otherwise known as "Falling in Love with San Miguel". I very much prefer Carol Schmidt's SMA Forum.

RE: 2 questions
A MX friend told me that the reason for no internet is that thieves stole electric cables and fiber optic cables from the CFE light poles in the area. He works at Soriana so may have gotten his info there. I asked how that was possible and he said because the people who would have seen it (it must have taken alot of time) didn't trust the police and were afraid of the thieves. Sounds plausible.
