JEWELRY COURSES IN ENGLISH

Hi everyone,

Don and I are offering a ten week jewelry training course at LADY Z Jewelry Gallery and Training Center, located at Plaza San Javier. These courses will be in English and will begin on Tuesday, January 11, 2011, and Thursday, January 13, 2010, from 11 to 12. We can start a class with six people but will not register more than eight per class.

? This is a course that Don and I have compiled based on everything that we have learned over the years since we started in the jewelry business. You will learn about the different metals used in jewelry, beautiful gems and stones, and how they all go together.

? You will learn how to recognize good gold or silver from base metal, to what "chapa" or "alpaca" mean. You will be able to tell a good stone from a piece of glass that look like a good stone. How to recognize a good quality pearl from a well made plastic bead, etc.

? You will also learn how to make bracelets, earrings, and necklaces for gifts, and how to start and how to market your own jewelry business. We do not use machinery, only hand tools, your imagination, and your own creative juices.

? Classes are one hour per week plus whatever projects you may have for assignments or on your own. You may come to the center for additional assistance as time and space permits, join others to compare and share your work, as well as enjoy a good time of creativity, conversation, and even therapy.

? The cost is $1500 pesos and materials for each class are included. You may purchase your own tools and additional materials at very low cost from us as we provide at least 10% discount on most items. Free parking is available at Plaza San Javier.
