Manaje a casa - one time 'duty free' importation of personal effects
If you have an FM-3 and are planning to move your household effects here you need to know about the Manaje a Casa permission. You can find more information on the links below. One important note is that although your household goods enter duty free you'll need a Customs Broker at the border to handle the paperwork and a fee will be charged. In my case it was around $200 which was far less than any duty I would have paid. If you only have a small amount of goods to bring in it may be better to just declare them and pay the duty.
