movie filming in Gto

Does anyone have info about the movie filming in Gto? It was horrible on Tuesday nite leaving Foro Cultural at 8PM and managing to get home. Then today, Thurs, Embajadoras was closed. I guess the tunnels are open but don't know where else it is closed and for how long and why. I was at Estetica Juanito today and she said 'Hollywood' but that was all. I don't understand why, when Antonio Bandera was filming an awful film here, years ago, I didn't even walk down to catch a glance at him. I wonder if there are any 'stars' here this year.

This is a big budget “science fiction action” movie starring Mark Wahlberg and Chiwetel Ejiofor the working title is “Infinite”. We are a stand in for a Mexico City. They have a large equipment staging area just outside Diego Rivera tunnel with lots of big trailers, generators and special effects trucks.
Should be cool to see the finished product and see home in the movies.

The road closings and similar inconveniences related to the movie have been well publicized several days in advance. I've seen at least a couple of articles in the Correo newspaper, and there have been many notices on the Facebook page of the Secretaría de Seguridad Ciudadana Guanajuato. If you use Facebook, I recommend following that page. Most of what it reports is news of petty crimes, as well as propaganda about what a great job (?) our local crime-fighters are doing, but it occasionally has practical news about road closings and such.

As for the Embajadoras problem today, it was unrelated to the movie. An inexperienced truck driver tried to maneuver a semi-trailer through there, and got stuck. A more experienced driver had to be summoned to unstick it. In the process, a couple of the newish bollards got wiped out. More here.

re looking for info in Correo, that's a good idea. But I look for info here, not on Facebook. I got off of that tho it took a long time. True that I miss some stuff that would be interesting. But I have you guys. The Embajadoras chingadera sounds awful.

Guess our week as Hollywood has ended. All the trucks, lights and trailers departed their staging area Friday morning. Buen viaje!
Yes, the title will be “Infinite”, starring Mark Wahlberg. Release in summer 2020 is projected.
