Amazon Mexico Now Full Service

Barraged with ads on Yahoo this morning for the start-up of full service. Haven't tried to buy anything yet, but certainly a welcome alternative.

Well they have all these people selling nicotine replacement products gum lozenges etc saying they ship to Mexico i gave it a try and customs threw it away.

* maybe nicotine gum etc is considered a medical or pharmaceutical product -or- maybe the Aduana agent was just trying to break his habit too?

I also had another look and half the products are still shipped from the USA site so probably still have to pay import tax, also be careful that the price is actually cheaper, they do that to the Australian sites just jack up the prices!

Keep in mind that Amazon protects the seller so no matter what the customer is always correct and will always win. Unlike Ebay where the seller is protected. We sell on Ebay and Mercadolibre (Ebay Mexico) and that is what we have concluded.

As far as the import duties are concerned we can ship to Mexico with less or practically zero tax depending on the item. PM me if you need anything and we can upload on our store for you. We will even throw in a special discount for all GTOLIST ex-pat members.

Well, my husband was excited about getting the vitamins that he buys in the US at Walmart, from Amazon now. Lutein 20 mg 90 softgels, $22.37, shipping $43.25. wow. What a deal.

I thought I'd check on a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4. Cost $139.99, shipping to Gto $5.08

Maybe the 90 little pills are flying 1st class down here. And how the heck are they going to get a tablet computer down here for $5.08? I doubt that is the cost of putting it in a padded envelope and sending it USPS. I would be very lucky if someone threw it over the fence with the rest of the mail, some of which is addressed to another part of the city. I also wonder who gets it thru Aduana and how that is paid. Are they going to apply the actual rate to the price of $139.99? If they did, that would be alot better than at least one of the mail services in San Miguel.

I'm anxious to hear about an order getting thru.
