With Southwest Airlines now flying to limited locations in Mexico I can now fly San Jose, Ca to MEX for $165 US.
Then catch Interjet for $91 US to Leon.
Nice thing is SW allows 2 bags free of charge.
About a 3 hour layover at MEX so almost perfect timing.

With Southwest Airlines now flying to limited locations in Mexico I can now fly San Jose, Ca to MEX for $165 US.

This requires changing planes at the Orange County airport. However, round-trip flights from San Jose cost only $51 more ($509 vs. $458) than flights from Orange Co. to MEX.
