workout/gym facility?

Coming to GTO on Sunday 30 May. Is there some sort of workout place where a visitor can go for an hour or two for exercise? pay as you use?

There is a fairly new gym on the 2nd floor above VIPS, and adjacent to the gigantic ISSTE garage on Sangre de Cristo/Sostenes Rocha. If you are expecting a spacious facility similar to 24-Hr Fitness, Bally's, or similar gym in the U.S., you will be disappointed. On the other hand, much of the equipment is up-to-date, and a wide variety of classes are offered.

The main issue with the gym is that it is very crowded, not well-ventilated, and claustrophobic to someone used to working out in a modern facility in the U.S. But, this also presents an opportunity to meet locals and visitors as well. You will literally and figuratively be bumping into people.

Here is another option, I recommend you go during the day when its less crowed. Plently of Parking available. David speaks english.

They have new modern equipment, its very clean, never crowded during the day, showers, great ventalation with high ceilings, cardio workout gear, and great friendly bilingual staff.

The gym also offers spinning, zumba, gap, go mix, step, tae-box, fit-ball, gimnasia reductiva, pumping, boot camp, and pilates classes.

They also have child care and a beauty salon. Plenty of parking.

You have to come check out the gym and take a tour, first gym that I have seen that focuses on the client 110%!
