Abuse and Trespassing on private land in Calderones, GTO by CAMP JEEP

Amigos,

We would like to share some bad news that took place a couple of weeks ago. We were contacted by the owners (COMISARIADO COMUNIDAD DE CALDERONES, GTO. Jefe de la Comunidad, Tesorero, Presidente de Consejo and some relatives of ours that reside in Calderones) that the local government officials (Presidencia logo was displayed on online promotions) and CAMP JEEP/Action Team Jeep of DF organized a lucrative event on private land without permission by the landowners. This Land is privately owned. :nono:

1) This event charged over $3000 pesos per vehicle, from the videos and photos you can tell that there were about 40-50 rigs. None of this money went to help the community.

2) No permission was granted by the community allowing for vehicles to enter the property. Especially at this time when vegetation is delicate.
(There are marked trails using vegetible based paint for use by professionals only during events. This area off limits to the public.)

3) No invitation was sent out to the community so that they could sell food and attend the event.

We have helped organize and participated at events held in Calderones aka Planet GTOROCKS?, since 2002. Permits and a written contract were always made with the community. Professional USA sanctioned Rock Motorsports events that were held from 2006-2009 (UROC? Mexico and MXRRA?) put this place on the world map, just do a search on Planet GTOROCKS and you will see. Due to lack of support from current local officials, these world class events sadly ended. These events brought work and donations for the community.

We have begun a Philanthropy to help out the kids of Calderones, who we know personally. If anybody is interested in helping please contact us via pm or our website.

The offroad park is now closed until further notice. There will be a charge to enter the area similar to Santa Rosa.

We support the community of Calderones who are very angry and disappointed at what ocurred on Nov 14, 2010 with the CAMP JEEP EVENT.

The community has numerous problems and any kind of help is appreciated.

We would also like to state and clarify in response to various emails that we received, that the offroad event organized by some neofite club with support of local officials in July of this year where the Alhondiga steps were damaged was not organized by UROC? Mexico or MXRRA?, nor did we or any other professional teams that we know participate or help promote in anyway.

UROC? Mexico organized the first professional rock crawling off road event that attracted teams from the USA and all over Mexico in 2006. In 2007 UROC? Mexico changed to MXRRA? (Mexico Rock Racing Assoc.) and introduced the motorsports of rock racing, at which time teams from Norway, Venezuela, Costa Rica, France, England, and the USA came to race in Calderones, GTO Mexico. These events brought income and fun for the community of Calderones and GTO. All these events were free to the general public.

MXRRA? sadly shut its doors in Nov 2009. Oh well it was fun while it lasted :)
