To all Artists (musicians, writers too)

So Cervantino is upon us, and as usual Mezcal Bar El Fusilado will be acting as a pressure release from centro.

I'm puttin out the word to any interested photographers, visual artists, performance artists, musicians, poets and what have you that my bar is open for your expression.

We are a smallish venue in Valenciana with a downstairs bar and upstairs patio open 12-12 daily except Monday, with a 5pm Sunday Carne Asada that is thought of widely as one of the best bets in town. We are and have been THE Mezcal bar of Guanajuato for over 3 years now.

Compensation is in beverages, tips, (and Sunday) meals. Visual art can of course be sold. Pitch me in a message, I'd love to hear your ideas.

Y claro que si, hablamos Espanol. Entounces si tu proyecto no es en Ingles lo quieremos eschuchar tambien.

Its jess ( from Canada) Joelle, Rose, and I are all artists and would be very interested in sharing our artwork in your bar. We also have covered the walls of our place in murals ( that might be a good idea for artists!)

Hi Kent,

I am a jazz and classical guitar player, relatively new to Guanajuato. I'm trying to assemble a trio to play jazz and world music here (however, I am finding there is a scarcity of professional level jazz players in town). If I can find the right people, it sounds like your place has a good vibe for that kind of music.
I also could play in a duo format with a bassist or a horn. I'm flexible.

The trumpet player Jason Pettit invited me to play with his group at a restaurant in Valenciana on Friday. Maybe that is your place? If so, I will probably meet you then. If not, I hope to make your acquaintance you soon.

The Cervantrino Festival will be a perfect platform for budding artists in any form or art like music, writing, painting, photography, etc, to take advantage of the situation of having the opportunity to perform and show off their talent in this bar in Valenciana which I am sure will be a hub of activity during this time!! In return they?ll be given beverages, tips and free Sunday means which isn?t a bad bargain at all!!
