Demonstrations by ex-pats in Mexico
It is illegal for foreigners to participate in Mexican political activities, such as demonstrating or canvassing for or against a Mexican political party or candidate. It is not illegal for us to participate in demonstrations in support or against US policies or politicians. Last year hundreds of us protested Trump's inauguration in San Miguel de Allende, and the local police stood by smiling.

RE: Demonstrations by ex-pats in Mexico
a few months ago there was another Dump Trump demonstration held on the steps of Teatro Júarez. Totally legal. I can't now remember the municipal office i consulted but they said go ahead.
The Mexican people loved it, countless pictures of them posing with us the demonstrators. (The only bad vibes came from a couple of Trumpster Americans.) Wish i could attend. |

RE: Demonstrations by ex-pats in Mexico
Bravo to you! I recently protested as the only anglo protestor at the DFW airport during the Muslim ban. There is nothing more comforting and soul lifting than to have someone with a middle eastern accent walk up and pat you on the back and say in the strongest drawl "Thank you my friend". It still brings tears to my eyes when I think about it. Thank you for your bravery and thank you for your effort. God speed to all the minority and downtrodden of the world but most of all thanks to the strong and powerful who stand up for them!
