Mineral specimens

I have heard that on a certain day of the week, local mineros display and sell their mineral specimens somewhere along the Panoramica.

Can anyone tell me on what day, and where?

From a family tour last year the mine toward Valeniana, behind Soriana shopping center, that is open for tours and is run by UG School of Mining has a large number of tables offering minerals and crystals of all sizes and colors. Our grandsons left with several beauties.

I walk along Panoramica frequently and I often see at least one big table with specimens set up near glorieta del cerro del cuatro. I'm a relatively new retiree here in Guanajuato, but I believe that is the name of the circular roundabout with a park close to the mine where I've seen the specimens. I'm a former collector myself but haven't yet stopped since I know I'll walk away with purchases I don't need. Hope this helps!

Thanks so much for that information. Also I had forgotten where the School of Mines mine tour was located so that too is a big help.
