Quinoa in Guanajuato

I found quinoa in Mercado Hidalgo today, 17 pesos for 100 grams (sold in bulk). Not as cheap as in the U.S., but much cheaper than in other places here. Enter the front door of the market, and turn right on the main aisle. Go to the first fruit stand on your right -- you'll see some metal shelves with nuts, cranberries, and quinoa in glass bowls. A very friendly brother and sister run this stand. The man said the quinoa is from Mexico; it's not imported from South America. I'm glad to see that quinoa is being grown here now!
