Very famous people who have visited Guanajuato
I know that Queen Elizabeth, Pope Benedict, and Hilary Clinton have visited Guanajuato City, but I'm wondering what other very famous people have visited.
I have read that George Bush visited Guanajuato but have not found a photo online, as I have of the others that I listed. By very famous I don't mean Hollywood celebrities. I am more curious about heads of state or foreign dignitaries. |

Two big names are Alexander von Humboldt in 1804, and Benito Juarez during the French Intervention. That's why there are things (including the passage by the Plaza de la Paz) named after von Humboldt, and why a sculpture of Juarez' face is on City Hall. I think that City Hall was a residence at the time, and Juarez stayed there for a while.

I know one secretary of treasure from the United States came to Guanajuato, his name was on the bills, he even signed one for my mom :)
