Beware of $ in Gmail

I was emailing a friend and wanted to attach a file. Near the paperclip at the bottom was $. It was somewhat larger than the other icons and a bit blurry. That's a sign to beware. Kind of crazy because it looked like Spam but I clicked on it. It offered to allow me to transfer $ using my email. Well, that sure would be a good idea, wouldn't it? I got out of there but my touchscreen wasn't working. Hmm. I ran CCleaner and things appear to be fine. Have you heard anything about this one?

Hmmm. Pretty interesting. The $ was there when I clicked on "send and receive money". Maybe it was only a coincidence that I had a touch screen problem after clicking on it this morning. This time, when I clicked on your link, it knew I wasn't in the US. This AM I wasn't using a VPN or anything. Well, maybe it was legit. I won't be sending any money by email. I'm pretty old fashioned. I wire transfer from our small town WI bank to Bancomer and it's here quickly and is 1/2 the price that it used to be. Things keep changing. Thanks Duck.
