This year's film festival seems to be one of the better kept secrets in this area so far, but it is happening July 25-August 3. The web site, which includes the schedule, is at http://www.giff.mx/

Better kept secret, with all those red banners?! To my surprise, GIFF didn't put them up in SMA... . But on second thought, maybe the Rally-student shorts made in Guanajuato under time pressure--is not well-known to expats. Watch for it next year. It took place yesterday. Sunday at the Principal, from noon until about 6, there's the chance to see many prizewinners. Now if only the FIC had a website as usable as GIFF's.
