Costco in Leon?

How difficult to get there without your own vehicle?
Aduana recently denied our extension on our TIP so our van is parked until we figure out what is what.

It is very easy to get to Costco by bus. Go to the bus station and get a ticket for the "green bus." You can buy your ticket in front of the bus -- they leave for Le?n about every 15 minutes. The bus stops in front of Sam's Club, so get off there, cross the street (Lopez Mateo) and walk a short distance to Costco. For the return, the green bus stops on Lopez Mateo by the big office store. You can buy your ticket from a man who carries a ticket machine.

Mouth watering! I don't have a car or a membership at COSTCO. If anybody ever wants to go on the weekend and wants company, I'd happily share tolls and gas.

More on Costco
The first time I went to the Le?n Costco was on a Sunday afternoon. I won't make that mistake again; the lines at the cash registers are shorter on weekdays.

About the conveniently-located bus stop; I bought a LOT of stuff on my last trip. On my way out, I asked an employee if it was OK to roll my shopping cart out to the bus stop, and she said yes. This was very convenient; all I had to do was transfer the stuff from the cart to the baggage bay on the bus. In hindsight, though, I'm wondering if she expected me to roll the cart back to the Costco. :)

Finally, the people who run the La Bohemia restaurant on the Jardin make a Costco run every Tuesday. They told me that they are happy to pick up stuff and haul it back to GTO, for a price.

All good info. Thanks very much. We are gearing up to open a small restaurant within a month or two and my hope is that Costco can supply some of the ingredients that are tough to come by locally.

Looking forward to your new place Mykul. Keep us posted as to progress, opening, etc. there is always a future for good food, good service, and inviting surroundings. Price is secondary if you can consistently deliver those three essentials.

Thanks very much Jesm! We are just at the beginning stages now but I will certainly keep you posted as things progress.

Both my wife and I come from working in restaurants in Banff, Canada and look forward to having a small place of our own here in Guanajuato.
