Home Rebuilding Continues

Now is the the tedious part - retrofitting the old section of the home to incorporate it into the new house. It is much harder than building from scratch. It takes longer, but preserves the original home. The walls have been elevated to fit the new door and three windows donated by DIF. The top collar beam has been installed to make sure the house is very strong and stable for another 100 years. There is nothing to burn now, and everything to keep the family safe and dry.

A row of ceiling sections have been installed in the girls room. It is starting to look like a bedroom! There is a series of very high windows to allow the heat to leave in the summer and the girls to feel secure all year. No one can see them through the high tiny windows.
