Lalo (16) and Joel worked the entire time I was gone. Senior stone mason, Alejandro, worked nights and weekends, and five helpers came in Saturday, April 27th to get the slab poured. I was stunned at the progress. All the exterior and interior walls are up 12 courses, and the corners are all poured. Both bedrooms, the bathroom, hall, and kitchen can all be seen now. Today, the midway reinforcement row will go in. This step will assure the family that the home is very strong so that they will not be displaced again. The new windows and doors are all metal, no more burnable wood.
