Basil the dog

Hi, my name is Basil. I was rescued from a harsh life on the street, and 2 days after I got taken inside a home, my little sister was killed by another big dog. I used to have a home, but nobody claimed me. I am a healthy 1 year and 2 months, mid-size -15 kg. The vet says I will grow another 2", no more. I am very gentle, and I'm already learning good obedience skills like sitting to have a treat or food, and walking beside my Master. I'm a very fast learner, and I'm very loving. I'm not much of a barker either. I have all my shots and sterilization certificate. The vet says I have some Griffon, but it looks like I have a lot of Border Terrier. I will be very loyal to you, and a very good guard dog. Martina, who took me inside her home, may not be able to have me with her all the time, as a work project might still be calling her for a month or two. I doubt I would be able to stay in a hotel with her. So I'm looking for an alternative to a 2-month pension. She's be perfectly willing to share duties later with someone like you, who would keep me in the house, protected from other stray dogs, and would give me a long walk every day, along with some play time (or have other dogs to play with)- sort of a joint custody arrangement. She will also consider any other creative temporary arrangement, if having me around temporarily would make you happy. She's done it before with Chiquita the dog, and Chiquita is well adjusted - a happy older dog now.
