Shipping stuff from Vancouver
I'm currently addressing the problem of getting my lifelong accumulation of stuff from Vancouver to GTO.
I've talked to a couple of shipping companies that can get this stuff as far as Manzanillo. Problem is, the smallest container they will ship is a 20' one, which is about 28 cubic meters. I only need about 1/4 of this. So, I'm looking for other people who have stuff to ship that can help me defray the cost. Shipping from Washington State would be OK for this, as long as you can take care of the paperwork to get your stuff into Canada. |

RE: Shipping stuff from Vancouver
What is your time frame?
We will be trying to figure out how to get some of our things south but not until next year when we are ready to move. |

RE: Shipping stuff from Vancouver
I don't have anything left in Vancouver after all these years but I do have a pony cart and two, about 10 foot long each, metal bike racks/stands that hold 6 mountain bikes each that are still down at the coast just outside of Manzanillo. I am looking for a way to get those items up here because they won't all fit in my utility trailer in one trip. When you get to the point with your stuff that you are moving it from Manzanillo to here, if you have some space on a truck, I'd be interested in talking.
Also, with regard to your container from Vancouver try posting on the tomzap forums for Barra de Navidad. Colima and Manzanillo (see link that follows). There are lots of West Coast Canadians with homes in that area (I lived in Barra for 13 years before coming here) and those forums are the most widely read in those areas. http://www.tomzap.com/ph5/index.php The most widely read forum for La Manzanilla (also lots of West Coast Canadians with places there) is http://members5.boardhost.com/lamanzanilla/ |
