sweet potatos or yams?
Has anyone seen sweet potatos or yams for sale in GTO? I have in the past, but not lately.

Dried sweet potatoes and yams on the streets around Embajadoras Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays. Wonderful prepared yams by an elderly woman in the Sunday market in the callej?n between Embajadoras market structure and Banamex - 2nd table on the left.

You can also buy from "The Camote Man" who is around the Plaza Los Angeles in the evenings with his amazing steam boiler on wheels and a calliope-like whistle to let you know he is there. The potatoes are steamed and hot; he drizzles sweetened condensed milk over them. Heaven!

I bought camote amarillo last nite at Mega. They haven't been around much lately and the ones I got 2 weeks ago weren't exactly fresh but good when baked. Hope they are still there when you get there.
