re IMHO, it's hard to argue that the site has historical significance when it was previously a Ford dealership.
I have been here close to 20 years and that location has always been called el Ford viejo so we are almost talking antique [autos] -and since the 'new' Ford on the auto strip was the first entrant it, having found itself looking stodgy in face of the competition, is now undergoing a face lift to become the new-new Ford .
