RE: Mexico imposes restrictions on DEA activity
Maybe the DEA needs to take a break anyway. Why fight it when it's becoming the base-line of many state's tax revenue LOL. I was just thinking the next time I cross north if questioned about any illegal substances, I'd say to the agent "why bother with Mexico when the US produces so much higher quality stuff" LOL. On second thought I think I'll stick to smiling and repeating "yes sir". I do notice over the past 5 years or so that Mexico has implemented dog inspections when headed south. Perhaps there is new southward flow considering all the recreational activity north of the border. Still it's all a fool's game anyway. Driving north from Ciudad Hidalgo at the Guatemala crossing northbound into Mexico is more of a military shakedown than entering the US from Mexico. Rumored to be US-manned, this Mexico gestapo immigration outfit took everything in my camper fridge and x-rayed my vehicle 5 times by the time I made Tapachula. In contrast, last time through Reynosa into US, I only lost my Costco branded ham and salami. Your tax dollars at work.
