native birds, export/import of
I have a Yellow-Naped Amazon parrot which is native to Mexico and will require much paperwork from multiple agencies to export from USA to Mexico. But possible to do. Importing to USA, from Mexico, should I decide to return, is also theoretically possible, but massively more difficult. Forbidden to drive across border, must send bird by air or sea, and quarantine at one of a handful of locations in States. (Miami, NYC, LA)
Has anyone here done that successfully? Or attempted to do so? I can't imagine not taking my bird (have had her for 25 years) but worried about difficulty/stress of getting her back to States if necessary.

Thanks, I have read the Petcha site and others as well. Just wondering if anyone has gone through the return process. (returning to USA with bird, from Mexico)
