Travel Insurance

Hi all ....
As I have committed to living out my days here in Mexico, I am considering NOT carrying Medicare part 'B' (part 'A' is free, so I'd have "A' only). I am close to age 65 and must make these decisions soon.
I have Med insurance here in Mx. but am concerned about having an accident while in the US during one of my annual 2 week visits with family in Washington State.
I have been able to find short term medical "Travelers Insurance" for people visiting the US, but only for non US citizens. Does anyone know of a company that could supply me with a policy for my US visits?

I ran into this same problem last year further compounded by the fact we were traveling by car and not plane so we went uninsured [and on the way back incurred a $5k one night hospital bill in Alabama].

Later I discovered WorldNomads which seems to offer coverage - you enter your country of permanent residence and then your destination country - tick off a few more choices and you get an instant quote. Before buying on-line I think it would be prudent to call them and double check.
