Meeting some Americans here and getting advice

Hello all,

My wife, Tracy, and I have been coming to Guanajuato for several years and have fallen in love with the city and its history and many of its people. In fact, we will be retiring here as soon as we can ? hopefully in about four years.

Last year we bought a house near Pipila and are in the process of remodeling it. We?re staying with some friends who live on the Presa near Escuela Normal. They?ve been very helpful with finding people to do electrical, plumbing, and general work on the house.

Because all of this is so new to us, we?d like to meet with people who live here and have had experience with remodeling, bringing stuff from the US, driving to and from the US, plain old living here, and so on. Any advice would be greatly welcomed.

We?re quite un-booked with our time and would be available to meet with you just about any day or time; we leave the first of August. Just let us know where and when ? I think we?ll be able to find it one way or another ? and how to contact you.
