Stop Press! CATE KENNEDY BOOK READING THIS WEEK at Donkey Jote?

    Wanted to let you know about a special book reading this coming Friday 5pm, September 16 at Colleen Cote's Donkey Jote bookstore. This has all come about in a bit of a rush so please excuse the short notice. A friend from Australia, the wonderful writer Cate Kennedy, is staying here this week fitting in Mexico briefly between the Edinburgh International Book Festival and the Vancouver International Writers Festival.

Who is she? I have attached a jpg with all her interesting details. Suffice to say she wins awards for prose, poetry and short fiction. She has also lived in Mexico and wrote a memoir of that time Sing and Don't Cry. On Friday afternoon she will read from her newly published and recently awarded poetry collection The Taste of River Water. Many of her works will be available for download shortly due to the difficulty of getting hardcopies here.

Come and meet Cate this Friday, and enjoy a chat with her over a glass of wine and botanas.
