Opthamologist in Irapuato

We just had a very good experience with an opthamology clinic in Irapuato. I recommend them highly. The doctors speak excellent English.

Initial consultation: 300 pesos.

Dr. Gardu?o examined my wife and told her she did not need cataract surgery, contrary to the last opthamologist she saw in Florida who was pressuring her to do the surgery immediately. They gave her an updated prescription for her glasses, included as part of the initial consultation fee.

The next day my wife had a flourescent angiograph to determine if her diabetes had affected her eyes. Good news! Nothing wrong. Prescription: Keep blood sugar under control and come back next year. Charge: 1500 pesos.

Bus ride from Guanajuato to Irapuato (with Inapam card) 19 pesos. Taxi from Irapuato Central de Autobuses to clinic: 35 pesos. Buses leave every twenty minutes, trip takes about 50 minutes.
