Much of Mexican meat tainted with steroids

This Miami Herald article claims much Mexican meat contains illegal growth hormone. Meat from Guanajuato meat is mentioned.

I am not a fond of "alarm articles" in newspapers, it always sells well for them, journalists always love these news. Read it with sound critical mind. But worrisome nevertheless.

I think it would be impossible for the general consumer to say this is true ("much of mexican meat...") or not.
