To the Wonderful Guanajuato Community,

I know this may seem a bit late in coming, but after more than a month in various hospitals, I'm finally sprung and am trying to assimilate all that has happened to me. I know that Martha Roberts told you all that I was overwhelmed by your response to her call for help, but let me reiterate: your kindness and generosity were completely unexpected and appreciatively received. For the past years, all of my energy was focused on getting back "home" -- and you have all shown me that none of that energy was misplaced. Guanajuato is truly my "home," and not least because of the wonderful friends I have here. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. My recuperation still has a ways to go, but I'm inherently optimistic and so, with a lot of hard work and the good thoughts and positive energy I receive daily from all or you, I expect to make a full recovery. Thank you again.
