This Has Got To Be Spam

Just got an email from DATA BASE ADMINISTRATOR with an email address of cpcontrolpanel7@gmail.com. At the end of the message it is supposedly copyright by Google. I don't think so. I was supposed to invite DATA BASE ADMINISTRATOR to chat. Don't think I have too much to say to DATA BASE. I think I'll report this as spam rather than fill in the info and return it. Get a load of the high level of English being written by Google:

We needs to guide against 2011 Viruses,To update our newly Generated Anti Virus,We require all our Customers to verify their identity by filling their Login Information below.We promise a better service this Year.

Here' s one I received this morning from "Banamex" which comes not as text but as an image

which in the original e-mail is clickable and goes to a believable looking Banamex page but you need to pay attention to the URL as it is https://boveda.banamex.com.hllmx.com/serban/index.htm .......... Not to Banamex's real page which is:
https://boveda.banamex.com.mx/serban/index.htm
The pages look the same but your data goes to a crook if you enter the 1st site.

Hi, everyone

In the past two weeks several of us have been victimized by invitations to respond to FACEBOOK (primarily), and other Social Networks. I received a couple of undeserved "NASTY-GRAMS" because my name was attached to at least one of those messages. Although it was all cleared up, I?d like to take the opportunity to first, let everyone on this board know that I DO NOT send invitations for networking ANYWHERE. We all know where to meet. HERE.

My recommendation is to, FIRST, not assume that one of us send the e-mail to you, delete these e-mails immediately, and/or forward them to: spam@uce.gov with a copy to the person whose name was attached to the invitation to alert that indivivual that his/her account has been "hacked".

Something that I have noticed on this forum, is the free and reckless posting of people's names, phone numbers, addresses and email addresses.

When it comes to spam, this practice is NOT recommended.

It is a generally known fact that it is a very very bad idea to post names, addresses, email addresses, and phone numbers on open internet forums.

If you do, you are inviting spam and privacy invasion issues.

I respect your opinion and tend to agree. In world-wide social networks, it is, dangerous. I personally have been a victim of these type of attacks and have left them all. However, I have felt safe on this forum as it has been pretty much contained to our local Guanajuato, Gto. community. When the owner of this Forum started he wrote on the first page:

"A refreshingly open site welcoming all to join and participate."

I believe, your info IS SAFE HERE. And from what I understand, you are not required to put much info about yourself on your profile, unless you choose to. If I am wrong, Mr. Administrator, would you please, please correct me?
