A soup in Guanajuato?
March 1st is a big day in Wales. I've always loved
this "holiday" soup and hope to find it here. Even in a can would be o.k. --d TRADITIONAL LEEK & POTATO SOUP FROM WALES Printed from COOKS.COMhttps://cooks.com/zg2p16lo |

RE: A soup in Guanajuato?
Did you find your soup Doyle? I keep harping at everyone that they are going to have to learn to cook if they want anything commemorative from "elsewhere" here in good old GTO. I would imagine you might find leeks at HEB in Leon but I'll have to add that to my search list.
Speaking of which ... I was excited when the Pho restaurant came into town but they don't boil bones in the broth or add any of the traditional aromatic offerings but it is better than the Costco instant Pho I have to admit and I don't have to spend 2 days cooking it but I guarantee that's on my list to learn to prepare, hopefully this year. We need to form a cooking school here but then I'd likely get less than the standard response most get here .... but how do you go lower than "0" responses LOL. Of course now you'd have to wear hasmat suits until this thing blows over but a cooking school would be fun, and it would be great to have a real one too, not one where some expat desperate for US dinero throws something together and charges $60 a head for a couple of hours, like you'll find in San Miguel. |

RE: A soup in Guanajuato?
Sorry I'm late to this thread, but for what it's worth, I often see leeks at the vegetable stand in the upstairs area in Embajadores...
