I did go to The Beer Company tonight. The cerveza artesanal there is great, of course. (I highly recommend Helium pilsner.) However, this establishment no longer serves food. There is a taco/quesadilla/torta place down the street, and you could order a pizza delivery. However, I'll give Applebee's a try next time.

There is a (new?) outlet of Hot Wings in Plaza Allende. Never been but one can see many large screens from the street. There is another outlet in Marfil.

More and more seems your characterization is sadly turning true. The Mexican culture is disrupted daily by the avalanche of new dollars and entertainment and style imports courtesy of the internet. While knowing it’s progress for some and even recognizing the inevitability I long for continuing some tradition and authenticity. But, I am old(er) and my world will fade as well.
