Writing group?

We're new to Guanajuato. Does anyone know of a writing group in town? How about a book discussion group? If so, when and where do they meet, and how many participants are there? Thanks, Robert and Kathy

I can't answer this question but this post made me start thinking .... I wish I was a writer but then again, all my attempts fail miserably.

Next thoughts were, well I have written a few limericks in my life and then for some reason, which happens a lot of times when I come here, I was reminded of my one and only best and favorite post here that I've seen in the last decade on social media, titled "Goodbye, Guanajuato ... goodbye.". So in just five minutes I composed this limerick. Hope you enjoy it!

There once was an expat named Rob
Whose shoe always stepped in a blob
Because of the shit
He threw quite a fit
And was run out of town by a mob.

DonJuane's limerick was funny, but not as entertaining as the original "Goodbye, Guanajuato" post and the replies. [Quoted from memory:] "I hope the WiFi on the bus works."

Hahaha! I love Donjuane's limerick! I remember that original 'Goodbye Guanajuato post'. Rob and Kathy--I will be arriving in town mid December and wlll also be looking for a writing group. Maybe we could start our own if we can't find an established one....

Yes. There is a group that meets regularly, once a month at Positos 81, Zona Centro on the 3rd Wednesday of the month from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Look for Ken McDonald. He's the organizer.
