Hello all,

Here is what I know about the situation:

I've been told that Sharon's brother arrived in Guanajuato yesterday and is discussing arrangements for Sharon's funeral with her landlord, Landino Marcocchio.

Our immediate concern is finding homes for Sharon's five dogs and two cats. Sharon did not want them to go to a shelter in the event of her death. Landino has kindly offered to feed them for a month or two, but if they are not adopted by the end of the second month they will be euthanized. Meanwhile, donations of money for feeding and caring for them would be greatly appreciated. If you wish to make a donation, you can give it to Miko Mosher (mikomosher AT gmail DOT com) or me (wardsandra AT aol DOT com), and we will make sure the money is given directly to Landino.

I have asked for recent photographs and descriptions of the dogs and cats, and will share them with anyone who is interested when I receive them. I know that all Sharon's animals have been sterilized, vaccinated, and socialized. The dogs are mixed-breed and fairly large. One (a five-year-old) requires medication. If you know of anyone who might be willing to adopt one or more of the animals, please ask that person to contact Miko or me.

On page 7 of the attached Amigos de los Animales Newsletter is an article that Sharon wrote about her dogs a couple of years ago. The little dog Lucy, shown on the left in the photo that accompanied the article, has since died, but the others need homes.

I opened this because I thought it was going to be about Sharon, not just about her animals. Do you have any more info about Sharon?

I do not yet have any information about a memorial service or gathering for Sharon, but will share any information I receive.

I may have missed it over on Facebook, but please post this information about her pets over on the Lovers of Guanajuato group on Facebook. It might reach a wider distribution over there.

There will be a gathering at our home on Saturday, September 15, from 4 to 6 p.m. to pay homage to Sharon. If you can come, we look forward to seeing you. We'll share our memories of Sharon, and photos of her too. If you would also like to bring a few botanas or a beverage to help celebrate her life, that would be welcome. Please let us know if you are planning to attend so that we can plan accordingly.

We live in La Casa Rosa, on the Carretera Panorámica about 100 meters above the Clínica ISSSTE. There is some room for parking in our driveway and plenty of room for parking in the open area above our house, which is accessible from the dirt road leading to the CFE substation.



Habrá una reunión en nuestra casa el sábado 15 de septiembre, de 4 a 6 p.m. para rendirle homenaje a Sharon. Si puedes venir, esperamos verte. Compartiremos nuestros recuerdos de Sharon, y fotos de ella también. Si también desea traer unas botanas o una bebida para ayudar a celebrar su vida, sería bienvenido. Por favor, háganos saber si tiene previsto asistir para que podamos planificar en consecuencia.

Vivimos en La Casa Rosa, en la Carretera Panorámica a unos 100 metros por encima de la Clínica ISSSTE. Hay un poco de espacio para estacionar en nuestro camino de entrada y mucho espacio para estacionar en el área abierta arriba de nuestra casa, que es accesible desde el camino de tierra que lleva a la subestación CFE.
