Sale of art and antiques this coming weekend

Isaac Musselwaite, a longtime resident of Guanajuato and a friend of many of us here, has decided to return to the United States for health reasons and needs to reduce the number of possessions that he takes with him.

On Friday and Saturday, August 10 and 11, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Isaac will have a sale of many of his fine antiques and artworks in his home at 12 Calle Potrero in the centro. Among these special items are religious paintings and carvings from the 19th and early 20th centuries, works by noted artists, ceramics and glassware, and furniture.

The prices Isaac is asking are the original prices that he paid in US dollars for the items. The sale, therefore, represents a rare opportunity to acquire these items at prices far below their current market value.
