Help the hungry - directly

Last week before leaving for the border I received a notice that scouts and volunteers will come to my house this Saturday, October 16, to pick up food. There is going to be a collection on Saturday at Jardin Embajadoras from 9AM-3PM. They want only cans, bags, boxes of food that are unopened. What great timing! We brought back all the things we need but can't find here - crunchy peanut butter and more. That meant cleaning out the pantry. It would be interesting to see how a Mexican will use the cranberry sauce I never used. I suppose they will add alot of sugar. It's worth buying some rice, beans, tuna, other things that our hungry neighbors in Gto can enjoy.
