Anyone know if there is a game this afternoon and what time? The sign sez 3p, but it said same for yesterday and didn't happen. Thanks.

Here is my answer: game was today at 1630 hr. Gates opened at 1500, 20 pesos. Other dates are posted outside. Food and snacks inside, beer showed up in the 3rd inning. Good fun in the shade but hard seats---take a cushion or an entire chair!

You missed a great time at the World Baseball Classic in Guadalajara.
Here's a headsup; the Bravos de León are a new team in the Mexico League. They play at Estadio Domingo Santana, which is north of downtown; it's off that avenue you would normally take if you were going to Plaza Mayor. The first home game will be April 7. Their website isn't active yet, but here's the official Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/Bravos.de.Leon.OFICIAL/ Since this is a brand new team, I have no idea whether the fans will be doing the tomahawk chop or the "puto" cheer. The latter was absent at the World Baseball Classic. |

The Bravos' season opener has been moved back to April 18. It will be against the Diablos Rojos del México, which is one of the Mexican League's "have" teams.
