Posible need for Blood Donors

As many of you know Meow and I are expecting twins. The delivery date has been set mas o menos for next Monday or Tuesday.

One of the hospital requirements is that we produce two blood donors this Friday. We think we may have the situation covered and will know by tomorrow. However as a back up if anyone would be willing to accompany us to Leon early Friday morning and donate a litro [a bit more than a pint] please PM me. Any blood type is OK ? you?d get to see some of the workings of IMSS T-1 the big hospital on Lopez Mateos and we?d find a good breakfast after the donations were made. [Actually donors get a nice little take away pack of fruit juice and other items].

Here are the general requisitos:

Indications to donate blood

- Major of 18 Years, Up to 55 Years
- 4 Hrs, Without Having Consumed Alcoholic Drinks
- Not to be Taking Medicines
- Not to suffer High and Low Pressure
- Not Recent Surgeries
- Not Tattooes and Perforations in one Year
- To weigh Over of 50 Kgs.
- Not to be Menstruating. Not even suckling
- Not to have Received Vaccines of Hepatitis in the Last Year
- Not to have Suffered Hepatitis
- Not to have Received Vaccines in 28 Days
- Not to have Donated in Less than 3 Months
- Not to be Pregnant
- Not to suffer Allergies and Any Type of Infection

The Donor and Patient present. 3 Days before the Surgery between 7:00 to 9:30 A.M. of Monday to Friday. The donor fasting.

To bring Official Identification and if he/she is an IMSS member his/her Number of Affiliation.
