Cash deposits in Banks
My Banker CI Bank told me the 15,000 peso monthly limit on cash deposits no longer exist used to be if you deposited more there were some kind of Government charge. can anyone confirm this?

The expanding reporting requirements linking bank accounts,must be of some concern. With IRS FBAR requirements and now RFC needed here for new accounts, one, if of a conspiratal mind, could see developing a seamless, hidden info-sharing cross border between the two nations revenue collection agencies. They wouldn't do aomething like that, would they?

I think I have confirmed it is called an IDE tax of 3% and it was suspended in 2014. If anyone else knows anything please let me know
