Looking for studio apt/housing

Hello - I am looking for a studio apt or shared housing (private room) with a shared kitchen. I have been volunteering with a resource for domestic violence survivors for the last several years, and living in Bill Byrnes' apartments until now. I have been offered a 5 month position with the organization, and will be coming to Guanajuato to work. My arrival date is July 27 (or August 1, if need be) and move out date will be 1/1/15.
As I will be paid the same salary as other workers in the organization, I will need to find housing that is very inexpensive. I am happy to housesit, dog or cat sit, houseplant sit, whatever, as part of my rent.
I am a 55 year old professional woman, non-smoker, three grown children, one of whom is still in college in Oregon. I grew up in Guanajuato and am bilingual/bicultural, familiar with the city, and quiet except for when I practice my viola or jarana, which I expect to be perhaps an hour a day. My work hours will be 2pm - 7pm, M-F, so I will be out of the house during that time.
