Cecil Grandoff event
To those of you who were friends of Cecil Grandoff ----
As you know doubt know by now, Cecil passed away December 31st in a hospital in Atlanta Ga. Cecil had been renting our casita for 3 years and had become a huge part of our family here and also had impacted the lives of lots of people here in GTO during that time. We miss him terribly! We have been waiting to have a 'get together' to remember Ces, due to people planning to arrive from the US who wanted to participate. We chose February 15th (Saturday) for this event as those coming from the US will arrive late Friday eve and depart again on Sunday. I now know that this event is in conflict with an event sponsored by Amigos de los Animales. However, tickets have been bought and arrangements made. I'm sorry about this conflict pero es lo que es! Cecil left us with an apartment full of "Cecil Memorabilia" -- Recorded classic movies, books, clothes, etc. We hope that everyone in attendance can leave with some small 'thing' that was Cecil's, to keep, in order to help remember him by! This was the suggestion of his family in Atlanta. and I'm sure that Cecil would have approved! Please plan to arrive around 7:00 -ish Por favor! RSVP!! -- We plan to serve botanas, y Cecil left us with a somewhat extensive liquor cabinet which we should all plan to enjoy con muchos brindis a Cecil!!
