Cervantino Preview

The preview of this year's Cervantino Festival will be at Teatro Ju?rez this Thursday, July 22, at 5:00 p.m.

If the pattern of previous years holds, the preview will begin (20 to 30 minutes late) with several compelling speeches (remember to take a book), followed by a video montage of this year's artists and performers. The video is usually quite good and very fast-paced. I always take a notebook so I can jot down the names of shows that look particularly promising.

After the presentation, again if the pattern holds, far too few copies of the Cervantino program booklets will be available in the lobby. However, if you have sharp elbows, you should be able to score a free poster.
