RE: Social Networking ?Ya basta!
I have received at least 20 UNSOLICITED invitations to group networks that I do wish to participate in. I did not start it. Apparently they are also going to my mailing list. I want you all to know that I am not sending them nor do I want to receive them. It must be a bug, virus, or someone messing with my e-mail address. Be assured that I am checking into this so it will stop. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have cause to others.

Please DO NOT reply to any groups that may come as if they were from me. I DO NOT want to participate in any except for this group and Facebook because my children and grandchildren are there. That?s enough work already!!! Thank you. ;-)

Martha, It seems somehow you address book was compromised - either something got into your computer and got it -or- you had an address list out with some site, Facebook or any of the others, and it was broken into. This has happened a lot on Yahoo [address book hack] and on Hotmail [Hotmail hacked]

Here's some background info on the spam site: http://www.mywot.com/en/scorecard/shtyle.fm

The other two invites I received this morning came from someone else for a site called Quepasa.com Here's a link to some background on them: http://www.mywot.com/en/scorecard/quepasa.com

RE: Social Networking ?Ya basta!
I, too, have received two different invitations to "friend" someone through quepasa.com, one on June 1 and another on June 30. This ostensibly was from someone in SMA I actually do know, but since I am leery of all networking sites I don't know (and don't want to join any more, anyway) I e-mailed her directly after the first invitation and told her why I was ignoring the invitation. She wrote back right away and told me it was a scam, that she had never invited me.

So, just beware of such invitations, even though they seem to come from someone you do know. I sure don't need to have anyone pfishing around in my computer, and I'm sure you don't either.
